Shine is YWAM Scotland’s annual outreach to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
As the world’s largest arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe is a fantastic opportunity to share the hope of Christ with people from around the world. During Shine you’ll share in a community of believers who love the arts and take Christ to the streets through street performances, outdoor prayer spaces, artistic intercession and creative evangelism.
If you have a creative expression or creative arts team, get involved! The outreach runs in early August each year.

Here are some impressions from previous Shine outreaches:
The Arts Collective of Paisley exists to build relationships among local creatives of all kinds, to inspire and provide resources for personal and artistic development, and facilitate social action through the arts to positively transform our community.
Our goal is enable artists to discover their creative potential and Creator.
A few of our staff are published authors and desire to develop their skills and support other authors.
Practically, writers are needed in all areas of ministry helping us tell the story of YWAM Scotland and communicate the love of Christ. Be in touch to talk about how your love of words can become a missional expression.
Across Scotland, worship expressions are growing.
In YWAM Scotland we have a long tradition of building community and a positive presence in the Scottish music scene. The Shine outreach during the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh is another amazing opportunity for musicians to showcase their talent and build missional communities. We’re also building worship opportunities out of Paisley and through the School of Worship there.
Let’s talk about your passion for music and how that can flourish in Scotland.
The beauty of God’s creation in Scotland inspires artists of all kinds.
Whatever your medium, come join us and celebrate God’s goodness and His good news through your art and in connecting with and encouraging artists in communities across the nation.
