YWAM Seamill Roof Fundraiser
A Training Centre for Generations to Come
For decades, Seamill has been a place where people encounter God, find calling, and are launched into the mission field of unis, businesses, families, churches, etc. Hundreds have come here for training, retreats, and community. We want to see that continue for decades more — but to do that, the building itself needs care.
Thanks to many generous partners, Phases 1 and 2 of our roof project are complete. Rooms are open again, and life has returned to the house. We are deeply grateful. Now we face the final stretch: Phase 3.
The Need Now
Fixing the roof isn’t just about tiles and scaffolding — it’s about securing a space where the next generation can be equipped and sent out. It’s about creating a home where communities gather, leaders are trained, and nations are impacted. Every gift given now helps ensure this house remains strong for the work ahead.
* Roof completion: ~£150,000
* Brick and window work: ~£50,000
–> Already raised: ~£50,000
An Invitation to Partner
We can’t do this alone. Seamill has always been a story of community — built, sustained, and renewed by the people who believe in its mission. Whether you give financially, share the need with others, or join us in prayer, you become part of shaping Seamill’s future.
More Ways to Help
- Bring a team: skilled workmen or practical helpers can make a huge difference on site. Contact us now to see when would be a good timing for your group to come.
- Fundraise locally: host a fundraiser in your church, small group, or community. Contact us now for pictures, updated information or a call with one of our leaders.
- Spread the word: share the story of Seamill with those who may want to stand with us.
- Pray with us: for provision, safety, and lasting impact.
Together, let’s finish this project and make Seamill a place that will keep serving Scotland and the nations for decades to come.
Will you invest a special gift of £10, $50, €100?
Or maybe give a small amount every month?
Who else could you challenge to share their stories from their time at Seamill and get involved to multiply our reach?
Consider giving a larger or matching gift?
Progress
Thanks to a generous donation and the sweat equity of the Seamill community, we have already finished and completely paid off the West Wing (Phase 1) and East Wing (Phase 2) – hurrah!
Now just Phase 3 – the central wing. The remaining section of the roof is in poor condition. While the house is still usable, leaks are damaging what’s below and adding hours of repair and maintenance every month. If we leave it, costs will only rise. By tackling it now, we not only protect the building but also use the scaffolding to address long-needed brickwork and window repairs.
A wee note about how we’ll use your gift: YWAM Seamill is a ministry of Youth With A Mission Scotland, Ltd., a registered Scottish charity. Your gift today will be first used toward this building project with any remaining funds applied to the ongoing ministry of YWAM Seamill and YWAM Scotland. Thank you for partnering with us in the work of sharing the transforming story of Jesus.
How it’s going so far
Some of your voices…
Have you got stories to tell? Share them with us…
Big and small, let’s hear them all.
Include where it happened – your room, the Arran Lounge, while doing the dishes in the kitchen or maybe it was on outreach? Sharing your story with us shows consent to use it as part of our project but don’t worry, it doesn’t sign you up for mailing lists.
